Celebrities With Tattoos – Joaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix only has one tattoo and few people even know about it. You may have heard that he has recently announced that he is leaving the world of acting behind to focus completely on his music. Maybe this change in career will mean that he will decide to get some more body art.

The tattoo that Joaquin currently has is a bit odd; it is under his right bicep and is a badly drawn circle. The story behind it is that he got the tattoo while on holiday in Italy, but things didn’t turn out the way he had intended. He had been impressed by all the Gaelic symbols that other people in Florence were wearing and so decided to get in on the act. He had dreamt about getting a tattoo for years, but wanted to avoid getting anything too trendy. He went with the circle because it represented nothing. Apparently he had a big problem with the tattooist because of the lack of a common language and it is this that led to the badly drawn circle.

Joaquin Phoenix provides a good example for others to not do as he did. If you want to get a tattoo in a foreign country where you don’t speak the language then make sure that you have a detailed picture of what you want.
