Celebrities with tattoos – Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood is a young actress who is probably most well known for her independent films and for the fact that she once had a relationship with that most famous of all Goths Marylin Manson. She is only in her very early twenties but has already appeared in a few films. She was a nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the film “Thirteen”; this is when she first really came to the public’s attention. She has had quite a few tattoos over the years; including some that she now regrets. Evan has the following designs;

-          On her left thigh there is a black heart with a lightning bolt inside it

-          On her left ankle is the letter “J” which is the initial of Jamie Bell who was her ex-boyfriend

-          On her left thigh is an outlined black heart

-          She has a black diamond with some type of squiggle design on either side of it; this was once a strawberry with leaves on each side in the shape of a bird

-          The words, “ all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream” is tattooed on the bottom of her neck

Evan has no difficulties when it comes to discussing her tattoos and why she got them. She will also tell you why she had her strawberry tattoo and black heart and lighting tattoo covered up. She claims that the movie “ across the universe’ completely changed her life so much that she decided to get a tattoo to show this. The tattoo is made up of a diamond because Lucy was her character in the film and the blackbirds are there to represent the song “blackbird”. The strawberry represents “Strawberry fields forever”. She had this tattoo when she was eighteen and making the film in New York.  People would often make comments about this tattoo that it looked like a ferret sticking out of an apple so she changed it. The lightning bolt represents David Bowie because he has been a big inspiration for her. The black heart was a gift from Marylin Manson; the two of them had this tattoo and it is intended to represent mad love.
