    Three stainless trays; one of these trays will be where you keep your liner and needle bars and you need to make sure that your 1’s and 3’s don’t point in the same direction. The next tray will contain your shader needles and here you will need to make certain your 4’s and 6’s don’t point in the same direction. On the final tray you will keep your tubes for shader and liner needles also pointing in different directions.   All of these trays should have sealing tops.

    Needle trays; your tattoo needles will stay on these trays.

    Small glass jar; your sterile ink caps will stay in here.

    Various types of spray bottles; you will have one of these containing  isopropyl alcohol while another will contain one part soap mixture to three parts water.

    Various Antibiotic solutions and ointment; you will use these for wiping the skin so as encourage healing of the tattoo.

    Disposable razors; you will need this when preparing the customers skin. It is essential that you use a new razor on each customer. The razor is needed because it because it is almost impossible to do tattoos on a hairy part of the body.

    Pads and rubbing alcohol; this will not sterilize anything, but you should use it to disinfect when cleaning up and to clean the customer’s skin prior to commencing work.

    Green soap; this is also not used to sterilize anything, but instead just to disinfect when preparing and cleaning up.

    Various bandages, handi-wraps, and hospital tape; you will need these for covering the tattoo after work is compete.

    Sharp scissors; this should be the same type of sharp stainless steel scissors like you find in hospitals.

    Surgical Latex gloves; it is vital that you never do any tattoo work without wearing these latex gloves. These are not only needed for the customer’s protection but also for yours; never work without them. You should always check with the customer to make sure that they don’t have a latex allergy and to have non-latex gloves available for this eventuality.

    Tongue depressors; you will use these when needing to apply the different types of ointment.
