How to go about setting your shader for black

• Make sure that you are using a 4 or 6 needle shader when working on most areas with black.
• Make sure that you have the proper tube.  Be careful when you putting in needles inside that they are sticking out from the tip about 1/32 of an inch.
• Turn on the tattoo machine and make sure that everything is running smoothly; if there is a problem you will need to check your machine set up.

Once you have gotten your tattoo machine all ready for shading it will be time to actually get to work. Just remember that you should have had plenty of practice prior to trying any of this on a real human.  If you manage to master this ability to shadow you will be well on your way to being an expert tattoo artist.
